At each tournanment I bet the max amount on mystelf, making like 4000 denars for each win. I started out, did a few quests to build my party high enough that most bandits ignored me and set out to find tournaments.
The way I made money fast was through a productive enterprise. However, since I enjoy battling the various groups, I get plenty of gold from selling off loot, so rather than remember or ferry good across the land, I just kill for exp/levelling up as well as to get loot to sell off. Of course, you can be a merc group earlier because you don't actually have to respond to the war rallies and join in the war, it's just that now instead of moving around with only bandit groups to worry about, now you're in danger from one of the factions, too.Īs far as trading goes, it's very possible to get rich by doing trade with the buy low, sell high method. Sea raiders were typically the toughest bandit groups so once I can handle sea raiders, I know I and my band of men are ready to be a merc group. Do this a few times until the recruits level up once or twice.
The first case will help me level up my weapons skills, and the second will help the 4 get exp and the ones watching also do too (as well as my char). One of the ways I levelled up myself and the band of about 10-15 recruits is to do the solo challenge of fighting novices up to champion NPCs, then also train with 4 group members at a time. The troops just make it go faster.Īm I missing something in the early game or is it rinse, repeat, grind until I can get a larger army and start challenging other castles? I fight in every battle and run circles/shoot from horseback until everyone is dead.
I have NO idea how to manage them or command them in battle and apparently thats possible. What is trade? Is buying salt in Nords (where I started) and selling in a different region considered "trade" and if so do I need skill points in trade at all? Also, my army is relatively small- I have like 25 troops. Level up while fighting as I complete quests. Stop at Guild hall to accept there quests I have been purcahsing every NPC I see though. I have not been paying for mercenaries/cavalry.Threy're just too expensive. Accept quest, stop at every place on the way to completing the quest to recruit as many soldiers as possible from villages. As many tournaments as possible(have won one so far) Tons of fun but I have a few questions.Īs far as the early game, what am I supposed to really be doing and just how slow paced is it until I can start building my own town/trying to take over the continent? I'm like five hours in so I know I'm nowhere remotely close, but I feel like I'm not remotely close to anything. If you don't think any of the above situations apply, you can use this feedback form to request a review of this block.I bought this game a little while back and starting to sink my teeth into it.
